ABOUT 12th & PORTER
Since 1984, some of the biggest names in music have graced the 12th & Porter stage, Neil Young, Vince Gill, Kings of Leon, Run-DMC, Townes Van Zandt, and John Prine, to name a few. Likewise, some of country music’s top talent were discovered here, including Keith Urban, Sugarland and Dierks Bentley.
Known for its top-notch acoustics and intimate setting, 12th & Porter quickly became a staple in the Nashville music scene. Because of the eclectic mix of artists it attracted, and its prime location in the heart of Nashville, 12th & Porter has become one of the Southeast’s most distinguished concert venues.
For over 25 years, fans and artists have gathered on a nightly basis to experience live music in an environment that truly appreciates the music that is being created on stage.
Following its transfer of ownership in February 2015, 12th & Porter underwent extensive structural renovations to further improve the sound, production, and overall concert experience for fans and artists. The recently renovated room has a sleek interior that was specifically engineered to produce excellent sound for its listeners, regardless of where they are standing in the venue. The facility now features state-of-the-art sound and production equipment that is rarely found in venues of its size.
While the venue spares no expense in creating the ultimate concert experience for its guests, 12th & Porter also strives to create an atmosphere that is equally enjoyable for its artists. We do so by ensuring that all aspects of the venue/artist relationship are handled in a timely and professional manner.
The mission of 12th & Porter is to provide the preeminent performance venue for the Nashville community by bringing a wide array of local and national acts across all genres of music. We strive to attract cultural acts and entertainment events that will further enrich the Nashville music scene, stimulate cultural diversity, and promote the growth of the performing arts.
